Is spending more time outdoors at the top of your list for 2018? Awesome! Here are 11 must-see destinations across Canada to help you enjoy a breath of fresh air, spot your next photographic gem, unwind on your next RV adventure and find your Wildhood. Happy travels!

1. Hughes Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador

A post shared by Tom Cochrane (@tomcochrane) on Nov 22, 2017 at 3:53pm PST

The best part of a road trip? Some might say that it’s following those brilliant rays of sunshine beaming down on the open road and knowing there’s another amazing adventure around the corner. Head to Newfoundland and Labrador for some pretty spectacular natural beauty along the east coast of Canada!

Nearby RV-friendly campsites: South Brook Park, Grosmorne RV Campground, plus more listings here.

2. Bruce Peninsula National Park, Ontario

Home is where you park it. We couldn’t agree more – especially when you find that perfect nook nestled in the woods to call home for a little while! Ontario is home to more than 330 parks* – including Bruce Peninsula National Park, just four hours away from Toronto, with plenty of lush forest along the gorgeous shores of the Georgian Bay.

Nearby RV-friendly campsites: Heron Point, Hope Bay Campground, plus more listings here.

3. Yellowknife, Northwest Territories

One the (many) perks of traveling by RV is the bevy of outdoor activities in your own backyard. Case in point: Biking along this great wide open space of winter beauty in Yellowknife, NWT!

Bring your fat bikes and outdoor toys in tow – it’s super easy to take your favourite gear along for the ride. If you have a super sporty, adventurous crew with heaps of gear, consider getting a sport-utility RV – a Toy Hauler RV – featuring ample cargo space and a swing-down ramp.

4. Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Sometimes you just need to ‘unschedule’ to find your Wildhood. Sometimes all you need is to be with your favourite people in your favourite place in the great outdoors and just slow down and soak it all in. And sometimes you don’t need to travel too far to find it – like this beautiful urban adventure, along the Saskatchewan River.

Nearby RV-friendly campsites: Blaine Lake Campground, Eagle Creek Regional Park, plus more listings here.

5. Drumheller, Alberta

Dinosaurs and hoodoos and bridges, oh my! The Canadian Badlands have something for everyone – especially the nature lovers, outdoor photographers and budding archaeologists in your squad. Wandering where the dinosaurs roamed in Alberta and gazing at breathtaking canyons and sandstone rock formations make for a pretty cool way to find your Wildhood! Fun fact: The community of Wayne, Alberta (near Drumheller) holds a Guinness Book of World Record for the most bridges situated in the shortest distance – 11 bridges along six kilometers, to be exact.

Nearby RV-friendly campsites: Dino’s RV Park, The Hoodoo RV Resort & Campground, plus more listings here.

6. Quebec City, Quebec

Winter in Quebec City is truly a magical season! Outdoor skating, snow sculptures, maple taffy and plenty of snow-kissed beauty. It’s also home to the world’s largest winter carnival!

Nearby RV-friendly campsites: Plage Lac Saint-Joseph, Parc National De La Jacques-Cartier, KOA Quebec, plus more listings here.

7. Whitehorse, Yukon

Are the Northern Lights on your bucket list? You’re in luck – you can head to the Yukon between mid-August to mid-April in hopes of viewing the phenomenal natural wonder also known as the Aurora Borealis.

ps – Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture those breathtaking hues!

8. Yoho National Park, British Columbia

When you think of the Canadian Rockies, the first places that likely come to mind are Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper or Waterton, Alberta. Across the Continental Divide, the Rockies are also home to majestic mountain gems in British Columbia. Yoho National Park, “named for a Cree expression of awe and wonder”**, is a perfect spot to find your Wildhood. With waterfalls, hiking trails and spectacular peaks all around, Yoho is definitely one not to miss!

Nearby RV-friendly campsites: Mosquito Creek, Whispering Spruce Campground & RV Park, plus more listings here.

9. Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

Did you know that Cape Breton was voted the #1 island in North America by Travel + Leisure magazine^? Take one look at Cape Breton’s stunning vistas, postcard-perfect beaches and breathtaking waterfalls and you’ll understand why. There’s so much to see and do while visiting Cape Breton Highlands National Park – though one of the most popular (and memorable!) is the mesmerizing experience of whale watching along the Cabot Trail.

A: Right here in Canada – at the Bay of Fundy.

In fact, you can even walk the ocean floor (at low tide when the timing is right, of course) to explore the sea caves at St. Martins. It’s truly a sight to see!

Nearby RV-friendly campsites: Century Farm Family Campground, Yogi Bear’s Camp Resort, plus more listings here

11. Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario
