Outdoor Gems in British Columbia

clock 7 MINUTES READ

‘Splendour without diminishment’ is the provincial motto of the natural beauty we know as British Columbia. The westernmost province in Canada is abundant in lush rainforests, breathtaking mountains, rugged coastlines, surf swells and magnificent wildlife.

Year after year, visitors flock to British Columbia in search of a thrilling adventure in the great outdoors. Camera in-hand surrounded by the rich landscapes and seascapes, it’s truly a challenge to keep the awe-inspiring photographs and superb storytelling at bay.

In the spirit of #BringBackWildhood, here’s a roundup of some of our favourite Instagram snapshots of outdoor gems in British Columbia that feature scenic routes, stunning viewpoints and stellar shorelines. Enjoy and happy trip planning! 😉

1. Crazy Creek Suspension Bridge

Straddling the Okanagan and Kootenay Rockies regions is the Crazy Creek Suspension Bridge. Soak in the spectacular vistas (and feel the cool mist) of the canyon and waterfalls at Crazy Creek from the 240ft suspension bridge and pedestrian crossing. A gorgeous gorge, indeed.

We’re still gushing over this epic waterfall photo by our friend Dax Justin. Follow Dax’s journey via Wildhood Stories to see the other natural gems to explore in super natural British Columbia!

ps – If you totally fall in love with the area, stay for a picnic at the rest stop or camp overnight at the RV park.
