Enjoy the spectacular view of the Inside Passage to Alaska at Bate Beach Oceanfront Resort. Located just north of Courtenay, adjacent to Seal Bay Nature Park on Georgia Strait, there are excellent hiking and cycling trails, canoeing, beach-combing and more.

We offer different styles of accommodation, including unit rentals and oceanfront camping. We have an oceanview suite that has amazing views of the Strait of Georgia, Coastal Mountain Range and the Inside Passage to Alaska. The suite features a full kitchen, living room, full bathroom and a bedroom. Our oceanfront campground sites are full hookup with power, water, sewer, cable TV and wireless internet. For your convenience, we have a washroom facility with coin operated showers and laundry available.

The resort offers salmon fishing with boat and kayak rentals to explore sand bars, tidal pools and rock reefs. Enjoy marine mammal viewing with seals, sea lions, river otters and the occasional Killer and Humpback whales are also observed. For the children, we have a sheltered playground and other fun activities.
