About Yukon
Yukon is home to Canada’s highest peak, the world’s largest non-polar ice fields, several Canadian Heritage Rivers and healthy, abundant wildlife. It’s the size of California with the population of one square kilometre in Manhattan, meaning there’s a vast amount of space. Close to 80% of the land is pristine wilderness, promising iconic scenery, abundant wildlife and solitude.
Weather and Climate
Yukon weather can be quite variable. Sometimes visitors get to experience all four seasons in one day! In summer, the temperature can be plus 30 degrees Celsius and the blazing sun shines around the clock, while in winter it can drop to minus 30 degrees Celsius.
