1

EXPLORE QUEBEC CITY

Start your trip in Québec City which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through the city’s cobblestone streets that are illuminated with festive lights, creating a magical atmosphere that adds extra sparkle to Old Québec. Make sure you stop to take in Château Frontenac which stands out with its dramatic castle-like architecture and serves as a focal point for stunning photos and sweeping views of the St. Lawrence River.

For a fee, you can conveniently park your RV overnight right in downtown Québec City. Port de Québec (Old Port) and Place d’Youville Parking Lot offer year-round parking options, allowing you to stay in the heart of the city and use it as your home base while you explore the festive and historic attractions.

2

VISIT LA TRAITE RESTAURANT IN THE WENDAKE REGION

Just a short drive from Québec City, La Traite Restaurant is located in the Wendake region, a significant area for the Huron-Wendat Nation. Wendake Region is a vibrant community dedicated to preserving and sharing its rich Indigenous heritage and honouring the Huron-Wendat’s history and contributions.

La Traite is more than just a dining spot; it’s an immersive experience into Huron-Wendat culture. The restaurant offers a unique culinary journey with a menu inspired by First Nations cuisine. Using local, traditional ingredients, La Traite blends ancient culinary techniques with modern presentation. If you’re exploring Wendake, La Traite is an experience you won’t want to miss.

3

APRÉS SKI AT STONEHAM RESORT

Stoneham Resort is your gateway to winter adventure. Nestled in the Laurentians, the resort is renowned for its excellent skiing and snowboarding, with trails that cater to all skill levels. Beyond the slopes, you can explore snowshoeing trails or relax in the cozy lodge. Stoneham Resort offers dedicated RV parking so you can stay close to the fun without having to pack up and drive after a long day on the slopes. With easy access to skiing, dining, and relaxation, you might find yourself wanting to extend your stay and fully soak in the winter magic.

4

DISCOVER JACQUES-CARTIER NATIONAL PARK

Next, head to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier, just a short drive from Stoneham Resort. This park stands out for its dramatic river valleys that were historically carved by glaciers. The Jacques-Cartier River cuts through these valleys, offering striking backdrops for a range of winter activities. The park also offers equipment rentals for snowshoes and cross-country skis if you don’t have your own gear. The park’s combination of unique geological features and accessible trails makes it a prime spot for enjoying Québec’s winter scenery. While RV camping is possible year-round, there may be some limitations during the winter months. Some campsites offer power hookups, but it’s a good idea to call ahead to ensure availability and access.

5

STAY AT PARC DE LA RIVIÈRE GENTILLY

To extend your winter RV trip, Parc de la Rivière Gentilly is a fantastic choice, just a bit farther down the road from the destinations above. Featured in Brown Girl Outdoor World’s trip, this park offers year-round RV camping, which is sometimes difficult to find in the winter months. From fat biking and snowshoeing to enjoying scenic river views, there’s something for everyone. With equipment rentals and all the necessary amenities on-site, it’s a convenient and complete destination. It’s a great way to fully embrace the winter season and get the most out of your adventure.

6

VISIT THE HOME OF THE POUTINE

After exploring Parc de la Rivière Gentilly, it’s worth taking a short drive to Drummondville, a city known for its claim to fame as the original birthplace of the poutine. Whether or not it’s the true origin is up for debate, but Drummondville is widely considered a cheesy pilgrimage. Stop in at Roy Jucep, the spot that claims to have made the first poutine, to indulge in some cheesy goodness. Wrap up your day with a stroll through Parc Woodyatt – you might need it after that poutine!
