Cozy Fall Camping Drink Recipes with Forty Creek

Hot chocolate in a glass mug placed on a piece of wood with chocolate and cocoa and milk.
3 Min Read October 22, 2024
Ah, fall RVing! It’s that magical time of year when RVers trade in their flip flops for cozy socks, and swap their ice cold cans for warm drinks by the fire. And as we all know, a splash of cream liquor in your hot coffee in the morning is the campers way to kickstart your day! But this fall, we challenge you to change it up. We’ve got two cozy fall camping recipes featuring Canadian Forty Creek Original Cream Liquor that’ll have you questioning why you ever thought of limiting your sips to just morning brews. So, whether you’re warming your hands around a steaming mug of Irish coffee or indulging in a decadent hot chocolate, these recipes are here to help you embrace the full fall experience. Who said camping can’t be a little fancy?

Forty Creek Original Cream Liquor placed on a picnic table with all the ingredients for Irish Cream including coffee, nutmeg and cinnamon.

1. Irish Coffee Recipe

Imagine the sun filtering between the trees, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee mixing with the autumn air. What better way to celebrate the season than with a warm mug of Irish coffee? Let’s jazz it up with Forty Creek and turn your campsite into a cozy coffee shop. Ingredients:
  • 1 cup fresh brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (or to taste)
  • 1.5 ounces Forty Creek Original Cream Liquor
  • A pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg (or both—because why not?)
  • Whipped cream (optional, but hey, we’re camping, let’s live a little!)
Instructions:
  1. Brew Your Coffee: Start by brewing a fresh cup of your favourite coffee. The stronger, the better! (We won’t judge you if you’re using decaf).
  2. Sweeten It Up: Stir in the brown sugar while the coffee is still hot.
  3. Add the Whiskey: Pour in the Forty Creek Original Cream Liquor. If you’re feeling cheeky, maybe a splash more for good measure!
  4. Spice It Up: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg on top. Trust us, it adds to the cozy vibes.
  5. Finish It Off: Top with whipped cream, if you’re feeling extra fancy.

2. Decadent Forty Creek Hot Chocolate

When the sun goes down and the campfire crackles, there’s nothing quite like curling up with a rich hot chocolate. You can kick it up a notch with Forty Creek Original Cream Liquor or keep it non-alcoholic – it’s just as delicious. Ingredients:
  • 2 cups milk (or your favourite milk alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
  • 1.5 ounces Forty Creek Whiskey (or skip it for a family-friendly treat)
  • 1 ounce dark chocolate, chopped (just keep the dark chocolate away from your dog!)
  • Marshmallows or whipped cream (for topping—because we deserve it)
Instructions:
  1. Heat the Milk: In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it’s steaming but not boiling.
  2. Mix It Up: Whisk in the cocoa powder and sugar until fully combined. Add the chopped dark chocolate and stir until it’s all melted and velvety.
  3. Add the Forty Creek: Pour in the Forty Creek – of course, skip this step for the kiddos.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Pour your luxurious hot chocolate into mugs, top with marshmallows or whipped cream, and enjoy the creamy goodness.

These cozy fall camping drinks are perfect for warming up your chilly evenings and proving that Forty Creek Original Cream Liquor can do more than just jazz up your morning coffee. Whether you’re after camping cocktails or tasty drink recipes for fall, these beverages are here to elevate your camping game.
