Travel Canada With Olympic Champ Jon Montgomery
Go RVing Canada has partnered with Wildhood Ambassador and Canada’s very own adventure guide, Jon Montgomery, to showcase the amazing Canadian road trip adventures that can be experienced by RV this season and beyond. Jon Montgomery became a celebrated Canadian when he defied great odds to win the Gold Medal in Skeleton racing at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics – beating out his closest opponent by 7/100th of a second. Jon celebrated his victory with his famous “beer walk” in Whistler BC – a true reflection of his zest for life, pride in being Canadian and love for great beer. Today, Jon is a loving husband to his wife Darla, and super dad (and dog dad!) to his children Jaxon, Lennon, and dog, Stark. In this travel guide series, Jon highlights his favourite destinations and shares RV tips and memories from past cross-country adventures, all the way back from life growing up in the Prairies, to winning gold in the Vancouver Olympics and to getting married in the Okanagan.
